Join Our Team at the Healing Roots Wellness Center

We’re looking for compassionate, mind-body-centered therapists to join our growing team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those struggling with chronic health issues, eating disorders, and trauma.

About Us

Healing Roots Wellness Center is a group of highly dedicated and compassionate mind-body-centered telehealth clinicians who believe healing can be achieved by addressing individuals and their struggles as a whole, understanding the interconnectedness of stress, mood, physiology, spirituality, environments, and relationships.

Role Overview

We are seeking a licensed therapist (or a highly motivated pre-licensed individual) to join our team and grow in their understanding of holistic and integrative approaches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working at the intersection of chronic health issues, eating disorders, and trauma, with prior experience in these areas being a STRONG plus.

We are looking for someone who does not already have their own practice but is interested in learning the ins and outs of private practice with mentorship and support. If you’ve thought about private practice but feel intimidated by the logistics, marketing, and business aspects, this role could be the perfect fit. You’ll receive regular coaching from our founder, Krista Day-Gloe, to help you build your skills and confidence in navigating private practice successfully.

The candidate should have knowledge of or a willingness to learn bottom-up therapeutic approaches, addressing the body’s role in healing before integrating traditional modalities like CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapies. A strong belief in the mind-body connection and an interest in integrative mental health practices are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy using a holistic, mind-body approach to address chronic health issues, eating disorders, and trauma.
  • Employ bottom-up therapeutic techniques, focusing on the body’s role in healing before integrating traditional methods.
  • Create and execute personalized treatment plans that account for the interplay between physical and mental health.
  • Actively participate in marketing efforts, such as writing blogs, creating social media content, and attending networking events to build a caseload.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality client care.
  • Stay current with research and developments in holistic therapy and related fields.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) preferred; pre-licensed candidates actively working toward licensure will also be considered.
  • Specialization: Experience or a strong interest in chronic health issues, eating disorders, and trauma.
  • Therapeutic Approach: Familiarity with or willingness to learn bottom-up techniques such as EMDR, somatic practices, polyvagal or nervous system theories, and other body-centered therapies.
  • Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to proactively build a caseload through marketing, outreach, and networking efforts.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to pursue licensure in additional states (particularly Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Oregon), taking into account the upcoming interstate licensure compact that will expand opportunities for providing care.
  • No Existing Practice: Ideal candidates are not currently operating their own private practice but are eager to learn how to succeed in this setting with mentorship.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with creating content for blogs or social media.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working within a team while taking initiative in individual tasks.

Benefits

  • Coaching and Mentorship: Receive hands-on coaching from Krista Day-Gloe to learn the skills needed to succeed in private practice. Sessions start weekly and taper as your confidence and abilities grow. This is an opportunity to develop as a private practitioner under the guidance of an experienced mentor.
  • Flexible Telehealth Work Environment: Work remotely while gradually building your caseload. Success is directly tied to your efforts in marketing, networking, and outreach—allowing you to grow your practice organically.
  • Professional Development Opportunities: Gain in-depth training and experience in holistic and integrative therapeutic approaches, focusing on the mind-body connection.
  • Supportive, Collaborative Team Culture: Join a team that fosters collaboration and shared growth while encouraging independence.
  • Competitive Compensation with Growth Incentives: While clients are not provided immediately, the more you market yourself and build your presence, the faster your caseload will grow—and your earning potential along with it.

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit:
  • A current resume or CV.
  • A cover letter detailing experience and interest in holistic therapy, particularly in chronic health issues, eating disorders, and trauma.
  • Two professional references.
  • Optional: Samples of written work (e.g., blog posts, articles) related to mental health or holistic wellness.
